Set up a new company:
After the start of the program the following screen will appear


To establish a new company click “Set up a new company” option and follow the next instructions.

This is an introductory screen will appear to guide you the rest of the process. Click the “next” button for further proceeding.


By clicking the “next” button you have to type the company information.

By clicking the “next” button you can choose among several methods to set up the charts of accounts.


The first 2 methods are sample companies and the next 2 methods are existing peach tree company or another accounting software compatible with peach tree and the last option is build your own company. You click “build your own company” and then click the “next” button.

    
The next step is “accounting method” first one is accrual and the second is cash. But you choose accrual method because this method is usually followed. Again by click the “next” button you would appear the following screen.

Next phase is the posting method. There are 2 posting methods. First is real time and second is batch. You choose real time posting method after you select this method you can change this method at any time. By click the “next” button for next screen.












Maintain customer/ prospectus:

After we open the company you click on the maintain option given, then click on the customer/prospectus


 
Header:
In this we write first of all customer ID then customer name

General tab:
basic information of customer is written here as his name, address, e mail etc

Sales default tab:
In this GL sales account, pricing level etc. Minimum GL sales option is required to save your data

Payment default tab:
Here you provide the payment detail of your customer.

Custom field tab:
In this you keep the information related to past record

History:
In the history you can see the last invoice date, last payment date of your customer

You fill up the information of our customer in general tab and sales default tab the following window will appear:

Chart of accounts:
First of all, you will open peach tree software and then in the upper bar you can see maintain bar you click and select the chart of accounts

After selecting the chart of accounts you can make chart of accounts one by one.
Remember when you can make chart of accounts and if you don’t select build your own company in the peach tree software your chart of accounts are not corrected.
if you regarding any error or mistake when you make chart of accounts you can see in the look up button either your chart of accounts are correct or not.






Correction of chart of accounts: 
If you want to edit or correct any account then click on the look up button the list of accounts will appear
Now choose that account and press description and then change it.

You can also delete save or close the changes by the following options.

If you want to correct the account type then press type option and change it

how to open a file in word


Opening Microsoft Word Documents
We'll shortly add an address to the top of our Library Complaint letter. Before we do that, we'll learn how to open a file. After all, you might have closed down Microsoft Word, or your computer might have crashed. The result being that you no longer have your library letter loaded into Word. So here's how to Open a file you have saved, and want to work on again.
From the File menu, click Open:

The Open dialogue box appears, and looks like the image below:

The Open dialogue box looks very similar to the Save As dialogue box. "Save in", "File name", and "Files of type" work in exactly the same way as the Save As dialogue box. Notice, though that the File name text box is blank, and the Open button is not available. It has been greyed out.
The reason that the Open button is greyed out, and therefore not available, is that text box is empty. Once you select a file, the Open button will be ready for us.
But the text box is empty because no file has been selected. A file is selected from the larger white area in the middle. Clicking on the file once with the left hand mouse button will select a file. In the previous image, there was only one file available for selection - a document called "rrKeyCaps.doc". That is not the one we want.
To locate the file we want, we need to open the folder called "My WP Projects". Because that's where we saved it. You can see from the image that this folder is in the list of folders, just below the folder called My Pictures:

You can see also that we are in the folder called My Documents. To open up the folder we want, simply double click it. This will take us inside the My WP Projects:

The whole Open dialogue box now looks like this:

The file we want, Library Letter, has been clicked on. As a result, the Open button is no longer greyed out. We can go ahead and click it. When we do, our letter will open in Microsoft Word.
To recap then on how to open a file. Do the following
· Navigate to the folder where the file was saved
· Click on the file to select it
· Click the Open button
OK, now that you know how to Open a file, we can start adding the address to our letter.
